மதுரை - விருதுநகர் நெசவுத் தொழில் மறுமலர்ச்சித் திட்டம் - மதுரை கைத்தறித் தொழிலையும் விருதுநகர் நெசவுத்தொழிலையும் நவீனப்படுத்துதவும், விசைத்தறி தொழிற்கூடங்கள் அமைக்கவும், புவிசார் குறியீடு பெற்றுள்ள மதுரை சுங்குடி சேலைகளை சர்வதேச அளவில் சந்தைப்படுத்தவும், கைவினைப் பொருட்கள் விற்கும் மையங்கள் அமைப்பதற்கும் 400 கோடி ரூபாய் நிதி ஒதுக்கப்படும்.

A textile industry revival scheme will be implemented in Madurai and Virudhunagar, modernizing handloom and powerloom sectors, establishing powerloom units, promoting GI-tagged Madurai Sungudi sarees internationally, and setting up handicraft sales centers. An allocation of Rs. 400 crore will be made for this.
